Many Thanks to Our Departing Board Members
Our region is so fortunate to have many dedicated members willing to serve our membership by providing their expertise, experience, and time to the NEO-RLS Board of Trustees.  We would like to thank William Rutger, Laura Leonard and Amy Switzer for their commitment, service, and advocacy as they move off the Board.  We wish them our very best!

William Rutger, Director, Avon Lake Public Library, has served on the Board since 2018.  William served as Vice President/President-Elect, President, and Past President.  In addition, he chaired the Personnel Committee in 2018-2019, chaired the Finance Committee and, most recently, chaired the Ad Hoc Executive Director Search Committee.  William also participated as a member of the Bylaws/Policy Committee, Personnel Committee and the DEIA (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility) Strategies Committee.  We thank William for his positive leadership over the past four years and for his complete engagement with the Board Committees.

Laura Leonard, Director, Twinsburg Public Library, most recently served the Board from 2017-2022 in the capacity of Board Secretary and Chair of the Bylaws/Policy Committee. She also served on the Nominating Committee for two years and on the Ad Hoc Executive Director Search Committee.  We thank her for her diligent taking of the board meeting minutes and her eye toward keeping us on track in terms of updates to the Bylaws and policies.

Amy Switzer, Director, Shaker Heights Public Library, has served on the Board since 2018. Amy has served as Chair of the Personnel Committee since 2019 and has also served on the Nominating Committee and the Technology Committee.  We thank her for her enthusiastic guidance in bringing our Employee Handbook fully up to date.
