From OPLIN

With the opening of the 2nd Emergency Connectivity Fund (ECF) Form 471 filing window on September 28th, I have scheduled training dates to provide a step-by-step walk-through of the application.  In addition, new information/program clarifications received from the FCC and lessons learned from the 1st window will be discussed.  I've scheduled both AM and PM sessions that will hopefully accommodate most of you and is appropriate for both school and library applicants.  Each session should last approximately 2.5 hours.

To register, go to https://www.ohio-k12.help/ecf/ecf-events/ and click on "Click to Register" for your preferred date.

If you applied during the first ECF filing window, USAC is currently reviewing those applications, and funding letters should be released soon.  Because the first window demand did not exceed the $7.17 billion budget, with only $5.1 billion being requested, all applications should be approved (providing you requested eligible items, followed the rules, etc.).  The 2nd filing window will be for the remaining $2 billion to provide support for eligible equipment and services received or delivered between July 1, 2021, and June 30, 2022, for students, school staff, and library patrons with unmet needs.

If you have questions or need additional information, please do not hesitate to contact Lorrie Germann.
