Funding Opportunities

The ALA COVID Library Relief Fund will assist public, school, academic, and tribal libraries across the United States and US Territories that are experiencing substantial economic hardship due to the coronavirus pandemic, which has impacted their ability to serve their community, especially traditionally underserved populations.

The deadline for applicant submissions is May 20, 2021. Grants will be announced on June 23, 2021.
The Fund has 1.25 million dollars and will provide grants between $30,000 and $50,0000 to libraries/library systems/districts that have seen a substantial reduction in funding that impacts their ability to provide essential services to underserved populations in low to moderate income groups.

The ALA COVID Library Relief Fund is generously supported by Acton Family Giving as part of its pandemic responsive grant making. Initial seed funding was provided by The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation as part of its efforts to bolster educational and cultural organizations devastated by the economic fallout out from COVID-19.

Details about the grant, including a recording of the ALA COVID Library Relief Fund Information Session webinar is available at http://www.ala.org/aboutala/ala-covid-library-relief-fund.

Zoom's Grants Assistance Team Helps with Information on RUS Funding

Having a difficult time understanding the last COVID-19 relief funding? Let Zoom’s dedicated Grants Assistance Team review the current funding and how this funding can be used. The American Rescue Fund allocates 200 million for libraries through the Institute of Museum and Library Services, an independent federal agency that provides grants to libraries and museums.

With the initiation of the American Rescue Plan and the fast-approaching deadline for RUS funding, Zoom would like to discuss the latest package information, highlight specific use cases and technology that are a good fit under the priorities of this funding, and talk specifically about these applications from a COVID-19 response perspective and the benefits they offer beyond the pandemic.

You’ll takeaway:
