A free virtual symposium for library staff focused on their health and wellness.
From the Network of the National Library of Medicine, Greater Midwest Region at the University of Iowa. 
 
This three-day virtual symposium will bring together experts on morale in libraries, invisible services in libraries, vocational awe, burnout, and self-care. The symposium will provide library staff at all levels, including management, with key takeaways to improve library staff's health and wellness. This event is open to all library staff regardless of employment status and to library science students.

Black to School is a new weekly newsletter that explores the contributions of Africans and the African Diaspora to global society. Its goal is to learn from these stories, draw inspiration, and make a positive change in readers’ and contributors’ lives, homes, and communities. The creators make three commitments to readers:
  1. We will highlight Black history and resources that deserve a broader audience.
  1. We will only feature verified content previously cited by authoritative sources.
  1. We will keep it short and sweet to leave room for deeper exploration and more.
 The newsletter is written to an adult audience but is accessible to middle and high school students and can inspire library activities with young people of all ages. Learn more and read Black to School online or sign up to receive it in your email each week:
