From the State Library

Buckeye Children’s and Teen Book Award voting will begin September 1. Voting will be online at www.bcbookaward.info and will end on Nov. 10, 2020. There will be a button for students to click on to vote, as well as a button for teachers and librarians who collect student votes and wish to submit them in bulk.

Students can also still nominate titles for the 2021 awards. Eligible are any books first published in 2019 or 2020 that are not part of a series that has previously won the award. Nominations run through March 10, 2021. Encourage your students and young patrons to nominate as many books as they want, and to get their friends to nominate too! The more nominations a book receives, the better its chances for making it to the final list. Teachers can also submit nominations received from their students.

Thank you for all of your support in promoting the Buckeye Book Awards with your students and patrons!

The organizers of Teen Think Tank have created a discussion forum for anyone interested in teen services. Join the Teen Think Tank open discussion!  Each week a different topic will be featured.  You can participate in the discussion by visiting www.teenthinktank.net , then click on Weekly Discussions. Contribute to the current or past topics. Other teen services folks want to hear all about your plans for teens!
