A Day for Circulation Staff Tell a colleague

Speakers:
Pam Schuck, is the Founder and President of STRIV=E Training, an organization aimed at motivating clients to focus on building a culture of service excellence, no matter the sizes of their business, that gives them the competitive edge. Using more than 25 years of customer service management experience, Pam works with frontline employees through management to help clients build their service culture. Pam works with her clients in improving their perception of who their customer is, key customer expectations, and helping them adapt to the rapidly changing marketplace and changing customer expectations.

Program Description:
Join your fellow circulation staff members for a funfilled informative day.

The morning session starts with Up YOUR ATTITUDE!
Attitude is about who you're being while you're doing what you're doing. Providing excellent service to your customers and to each other is dependent on positive attitudes in the work place. Personal excellence is dependent on positive attitudes in life. Positive Attitudes can provide courage and fortitude to resolve problems, take action, and create a workplace of energy and enthusiasm. Attitude is highly personal and individual. Only you can control your attitude. You can evaluate how you look at things and make positive attitude adjustments.

Choosing a positive attitude becomes difficult when CHANGE is influencing your environment! Change is NOT a choice; not an optional event! Change is going to happen. We resist CHANGE, it makes us uncomfortable, yet Change is something we need. It brings uncertainty and transition, but without change we limit ourselves.

Along with choices in our attitude and dealing with change comes the challenge of understanding how to treat each other. We must focus on the fact that what happens inside happens outside - how we treat each other - influences how we treat our customers. Together we will focus on creating the WOW factor and giving 1% more! If you had a choice to be your own customer, would you? Or, might your attitude turn you away? We challenge you with the question, Would You Do Business With You?

You must practice a positive attitude every day! Attitude is a choice. Only you can choose your attitude. You must choose to UP YOUR ATTITUDE !

The morning program will be followed by a networking lunch.

We will start the afternoon with Cuyahoga County Public Library's 24 hour door to floor procedure. Learn how you can implement this in your own library.

Lastly, you will learn how to get the most out of your job.
