Program Name: Collaborative Creativity: Teaming Up To Be More Creative Program Date: 05/02/2012 Program Time: 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Speaker: Beverly Masek, Training Coordinator, Medina County District Library Program Description: Learn how two or more people can enhance their creativity in order to improve problem solving and work processes, determine new and better ways to do things, and in general contribute to the organization’s creative growth. Learn what stifles creativity and how each of us contributes to supporting or detracting from the group creative process. Identify which of the Five Creative Competencies you must develop for yourself. Identify how to apply the Two Main Phases of the creative process to your own teams. Explain the difference between “Soft Thinking” and “Hard Thinking” and how to use each at meetings. Apply ways to overcome at least five myths about creative people Explain ways to overcome stumbling blocks to creativity. Add to the brainstorming list of “creative opportunities” developed in class.
